“Always Caring, Always Here”
Daily Activities - Home Maintenance
Cleaning
We not only support our customers by providing assistance with light house-keeping activities such as cleaning of the house, straightening up, vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors, making beds, dishwashing and cleaning bathrooms, but also ensure that the customer is confident enough to perform these tasks by themselves. Assistance with plants can also be provided.
Some of the benefits of this service include:
Boosting confidence and self-esteem.
Enhancement and development of skills.
Adding more structure and routine to your life.
Meal Preperation
Having a balanced diet each day is an important aspect of leading a healthy lifestyle. It helps in being energetic to stay alert and functioning all day, builds immunity and improves one’s mental well-being. To ensure that the customer receives all the benefits of a balanced diet, we can assist you by coming to your home and preparing nutritious meals.
Clothes washing, ironing
There’s nothing quite like the feeling of freshly cleaned sheets. We can assist you to do your laundry, including washing and drying clothes as well as folding, sorting, ironing and putting them away. We can also help with hand washing.
We understand that a helping hand to keep your clothes and linen crisp and fresh means you can continue to look and feel your best. Support can be customized depending on what’s best for you and later and can be amended as needed.
Garden Care
Gardening can offer a myriad of health benefits for people with disabilities by providing exercise, stimulation and relaxation. With some planning and consideration, an accessible, productive and pleasant garden can be developed. Garden structures and equipment need to be carefully designed and chosen to accommodate people with disabilities. Raised containers and vertical gardens are popular options to make a garden area more accessible. Those with back and posture problems may also find these types of garden set-ups appealing.
The relaxation and meditative nature of gardening can help a person to zone out from the stress and worry of the world. Conversely, a couple of hours with a friend, family member or support worker, where tasks and routines are shared and varied, can have all participants feeling included and cherished.
